The Nigerian Government held its maiden Ecological Fair; dubbed “Eco-Fair” and Anfield was to plan and supervise the event. But of course, we were dying to put the icing on this cake. The event was to sensitize members of the public on the efforts made by the Federal and State Governments to fight ecological problems in the country. We managed all the affairs of the event from the crown to sole and just as you must have guessed, Anfield’s expertise was at its paramount. The Fair debuted on Tuesday, 20th July 2010 at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja, and ended on Wednesday 21st July 2010. The brief was for Anfield to plan and manage the event centering around the theme of the event, the intended and audience and creating values for the Client.

The theme of the event was ‘Raising Eco Standards: Issues and Challenges’ which was in the bid to enlighten the Nigerian public on the challenges posed by ecological problems in the country. Having conceptualized enhanced strategies, the core of the event was centered on combating Nigeria’s chronic ecological challenges.

The Eco-Fair aimed at stakeholders in the ecological sector in the country to tackle the problems witnessed and proffer ways to tackle the challenges as well as raise the ecological standards.  The event also attracted experts, contractors and consultants with vital experience in the ecological sub-sector because it featured paper discussions which in addition recommended improved management strategies for combating ecological problems. State Governments across the country were given the opportunity to exhibit their peculiar ecological problems and successes achieved so far.
